The Purton Hulks, on the banks of the Severn River.  Placed to reinforce the land between the river and canal, have become a memorial to the people who worked the river and these boats slowly fading into the landscape.  Many now marked, even when there is only space.  Here you see details and remains, from a walk on a grey day as the Severn Bore brought a crashing high tide to the Severn.
